We are a Community of Messianic Believers

River City Messianic Fellowship is a community of disciples of Jesus the Messiah or, in Hebrew, Yeshua HaMashiach. We believe in the authority of the Bible and celebrate the Biblical Feasts. We meet on the Sabbath to worship God and to meet together with our brothers and sisters in Yeshua.

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Location

We meet at The Vine Community Church in Cottage Hills, Illinois, on Saturdays at 3 p.m.

What to Expect

We start with reading the Shema, and then we worship and praise our King through a mix of contemporary and Hebrew songs. This is followed by reading and expounding upon the Word of God, which concludes with the Aaronic blessing. We also hope to incorporate Davidic dance in the future.

After the service, there is always time for fellowship, as well as the occasional oneg (potluck) in the basement.

While our leaders dress anywhere from dressy shirts and jeans to suit jackets, you are welcome to dress however you feel comfortable. We only ask that you keep your clothing respectable and modest.
